Guided meditation is an effective approach to manage anxiety. I have identified 15 best guided meditation for anxiety videos on Youtube. These videos have proven to be effective when it comes to obtaining relief from anxiety attacks. Let me know which of these sessions you are drawn towards and have an impact for you.

I have decided to relook at some of these best guided meditation for anxiety videos on Youtube in 2019, as some guided meditation videos were no longer available on Youtube.

Why listen to it: The music is peaceful and moving while the soothing vocals really help accentuate inner peace. This calming approach gives you the sense of calm in your own mind whilst offering the guidance to visualise a calming, serene environment.

This is a quick video that demonstrates the effects of guided meditation to relieve anxiety. Its only shortcoming might be its short length.

Why listen to it: The music is soothing and the voice-over from the lady has a calming effect. It made me cry the first time I listened to it. For beginners to guided meditation, this video is the best way to get started.

This is just one of the Youtube videos by Michael that is focussed on meditation for anxiety and depression. This video is one of his oldest and yet my personal favourite from his Youtube collection.

Why listen to it: The voice-over is soothing, and the music is not over-bearing. The video is long enough for you to lose your rumination. You will feel as if you are floating and might even fall off to sleep.

Jason has his own Youtube meditation channel and is popular with a lot of practitioners.

Why listen to it: This video is accompanied by some amazing visual imagery, and splendid professional background music. You have to get accustomed to his Australian accent, but I did not face any issues with that. Probably one of the best guided meditation for anxiety videos available right now

Healing Spirit: Guided Meditation for Relaxation, Anxiety and Depression by meditationrelaxclub

Why listen to it: This video, nearly half an hour long, is another soothing video. Typically, I refer to this during the afternoons. Some of you may get distracted with the pronunciation of certain words or the heavy breathing at the start.

The Honest Guys are creating Guided Meditation videos since 2009.

Total Run-time: 12:28 minutes

Why listen to it: There is focus on controlling breathing in this short video. There are times when I have experienced a white light shining in a dark space. The music is well balanced and I love the noise of the sea-gulls. The sea has a calming effect on me during this session.

  • Guided Meditation for Stress and Anxiety Relief by Joe Treacy

This is one of the latest videos that has made it to my favourite list.

Total Run-time: 53:57 minutes

Why listen to it: Joe has a soothing voice with no heavy accent. The ocean sounds are peaceful in the background, taking me to a calmer place and helping me reduce my heartbeat rate. The entire session is quite long and you may not need to complete it all to obtain its benefits.

Why listen to it: Jason this time takes us to a journey to feel grounded. It draws a connection to a strong tree that is grounded, and you feel stronger inside. You must follow till at least 22 minutes of the video to achieve the best benefits to relieve anxiety.

Why listen to it: This session is one that I go to when I want a quick and fast relief when I feel anxious. Although brief, it does generates a sense of stillness within me. The voice-over is very soft and if you follow the chants at his pace, you can feel calm. This will certainly work if you suffer for generalized anxiety.

A nearly 10 minute guided meditation session.

Why listen to it: The music, the exercise in the video and the beautiful location that it is shot at all helps make this session a must watch for relaxation. You will feel energized after this session for sure, ready to take on the challenges of life.

A session by Katrina from Psyche Truth. This video is released in February 2016.

Why listen to it: Katrina leads this session in a calm manner. The music in the background does not get over-bearing. I do like the Japanese style backdrop. If you are anxious and want to feel peaceful, make it a point to complete the session.
